Jeff VanVoorhees, a self-taught artist, was born and raised in Central Pennsylvania. His interest in art emerged in elementary school when he began drawing and experimenting with different techniques. Throughout his teen and early adult years, Jeff's artwork was sidetracked as he explored other interests and careers. Jeff is a hair stylist by trade, and a musician known in the local band scene. After receiving a book on portrait drawing as a gift from his father, Jeff's interest in art was renewed seven years ago.
Jeff appreciates the beauty of the human figure and wildlife, and is able to transform these images into meaningful works of art. Specializing in graphite pencil portrait drawings, he is gifted at photograph reproduction. Currently, Jeff is concentrating on commissioned portraits and accepting new clients.
Jeff is a member of the Art Association of Harrisburg and the Mechanicsburg Art Association.
